{recipe binder}

I have used a recipe binder for years, and love it. A few years ago I typed up every favorite recipe I had that wasn't in a cookbook I used often, and created this binder. I have added to it constantly since them, and because I print off so many recipes that I find online, it's so easy to just slide them in the binder.

These also make a SUPER fun graduation or wedding gift. You can personalize it with recipes, and really make it their own. I do them every year for the girls from my youth group for their graduation gift, and they love them.

I like using plastic dividers with pockets that come with the printable tabs, so I can slide recipes in there that I want to try--then if I like them I can add them into my book.

I love this recipe book, because it's so easy to add to, and I have all of my favorites in one place!

I really like this. Simple yet pretty! And functional to boot. My mom bought me a recipe scrapbook for Christmas a few years back but I have found it takes more work to keep up with it than I am willing to give. This would be an easier book to update.

THANK YOU! I am so sick of my recipe box, I can't find anything in there. I'm so glad I've been snooping around on your blog for no particular reason *it's addictive* and stumbled on this idea. Oh thank you, thank you, thank you!

I've been using those 4 x 6 photo albums from Target, and using a different one for each category. I use my graphics program to make pretty recipe cards and print them with the recipe. I keep a small wire easel on the counter and the small recipe albums are stored in a plastic box on my baker's rack. I like the idea of the larger binder, though, and I may look for the plastic sleeves for one and just move my recipe cards over.

The small albums make a nice gift, though, of very specialized recipes, though, such as breads or dessert favorites.

I organize my recipes the same way ... just not as pretty! Much easier keeping track of 'tried and true' recipes in a binder compared to the old recipe box method. As The Baking Bookworm I find tonnes of new recipes so I'm thinking of categorizing my recipes using a binder for each type of recipe (appetizer, desserts etc)! Making the binders prettier is an awesome idea! I'm LOVING your blog, btw. I got loads of great crafty ideas and can't wait to try them out!!

Love this idea and might be the way to go I think!
At least your recipes are protected form sticky fingers etc!
Thanks
