{friday favorites}

Okay guys, still no projects. However, I've been getting other things done that really needed to be done, and I've had time with my kids enjoying the summer...which is what I love!

Today is a good day, for several reasons. First of all, it's Friday, and who doesn't love Friday? Yay! for a husband coming home early, and a fun weekend to look forward to. Secondly, I scored an absolutely fabulous find today. I spontaneously stopped at a garage sale, and found something that I have always wanted...for cheap!

These vintage Ball canning jars were calling my name in a major way, and I was able to get all of them for only $10. My mind is already spinning with the possibilities...LOVE them.

I have been looking forward to tomorrow all summer---we are headed to our favorite beach to spend the day. It's on one of the Great Lakes-- the sand is soft and smooth, the water stretches out forever, and you can see the sails of the boats out in the distance. Afterward we stop for ice cream at this cute little shop, then walk the boardwalk and enjoy the boats and water. It is always a perfect day with family and friends.

One of my best beach tips and MUST HAVES for your beach bag is baby powder. It removes sand quickly and easily, and you will love having it. Just sprinkle it on (great for babies--changing diapers), then dust it off, sand and all!

Have a fabulous weekend! I have a really great giveaway coming on Monday, and projects coming, too!

WoW great tip, I had no idea, but make sense... It works when you get a hair cut too, dusts off the lil pokey hairs...

great tip! That is about the only reason I would ever buy that since you aren't supposed to use it on babies anymore anyway :)

There's a tutorial and pictures to turn the Ball jars (or at least one of them) into a soap dispenser - http://heatherbullard.typepad.com/heather_bullard_collectio/2010/02/diy-mason-jar-soap-dispenser.html
