brown paper packages: {a place for everything}

{a place for everything}

One of my favorite sayings, and kind of my mantra in life is "a place for everything, and everything in its place". With five kids, including two sets of twins four years old and under, being organized has kept my sanity intact, and is the only way I can function. That said, I felt the same way before in the years before we had kids, when we had one child, and now, with five. It's a universal quest, regardless of where you are in life, and one that I'm constantly trying to conquer.

The new year is the perfect time to start and hopefully make life a little less cluttered and easy to manage. If your house is like mine, "stuff" seems to multiply, and before you know it, the house is overflowing. Mail, school papers, food storage, clothing, name it, it adds up.

So, I'm excited to announce a new weekly series on brown paper packages, called (what else?) A Place for Everything. I will highlight different projects and tips for organizing your home and life, in addition to sharing some of the things I've done that have been useful.

I also want YOUR ideas! If you have a great project or idea that helped you to stay organized, and would like to be featured on brown paper packages, please e-mail me with the link and information. I can't wait to see them! We can help each other and share what we know. Grab a button, and spread the word!

And since no post is complete without a picture, I will leave you with my find for the day...

Aren't these the CUTEST red shoes? I found them for my girls at Walmart, and for only $10!

Watch for the first "A Place or Everything" post...this Friday! The series will run each Friday, so make sure you come on back to check it out!

This is going to be GREAT. So looking forward to reading your ideas. I know that in the next few years we are going to be down-sizing, and so I need to spend more time and energy de-cluttering.

Oh, I really hope you have something great for a little girls room. My daughters room is so cluttered with all her new and old toys, to the point where she won't even play in there. She gets too overwhelmed. So, whatever you have to help me out would rock! Thanks!!
