{beadboard tags}

My husband was out of town on Mother's Day, so we celebrated this past Sunday. I {love} Mother's Day, because it means no cooking, my favorite meals, and reading in bed all afternoon. This year I was also surprised with something else...

My husband got all crafty on me, and made these DARLING tags cut out of beadboard.  He had the kids draw/write on 3 labels (address labels) each, then applied them to the backside of the beadboard.  He even mod podged them on for a clear protective coat!  After drilling holes in the top of each tag, he used ribbon to tie each tag on to a piece of jute.

It is one of my favorite things.  I absolutely love it.

Other ideas?

*I think this would be SO FUN for a teacher gift--1 tag from each child.
*Grandparents
*Mother's Day, Father's Day
*Gift tags, to keep as a momento
* Christmas tree ornaments
*Thankful tags/Thanksgiving

How about using pictures on some tags, and text on others?  You could mod podge cute scrapbook as well, and it would be darling!
