{fabulous find}

Heavy trash day is my favorite day of the month.

Look what I found on my way to church yesterday...

I {LOVE} it.  Seriously love it.  As soon as I saw this chair on the side of the road, I knew it had to be mine.

Now I'm just trying to decide whether or not to paint it.

That old weathered wood is fabulous, but I also have this vision of a distressed red--a pop of color for my front porch.

What do you think?

I love this! I wouldn't paint it because you never know what " color " mood you may be in. You can always change the pillows or use a throw to bring in different colors. The bleached wood is beautiful!

Love it! I just found something similar, but it was a rocker... and it was totally stripped, so I thought I should paint it since it would be outside. I did mine burgundy, and it turned out nice… but I think I kind of liked the worn natural look better. I might even take some sandpaper to it to make it more “worn” looking!

Ohhhh . . . love at 1st sight!! Whatever you decide to do about color, the chair is fabulous. If you ever decide you're putting it out for Heavy Trash Day, just let me know first and I'll be on my way!

I want to say I wouldn't paint it, but it kind of appears to blend well with your house, so I'd go with the red to "pop" like you said. :)

I love this find!! I so wish that I was lucky enough to find awesome freebies like this. I would keep it the natural color and keep to the pillow for a splash of color.

Wow, GREAT find! I think it's FABULOUS just how it is, BUT...if you do decide to paint it, you can just dry brush one layer of red onto it and the weathered wood will soak it up and leave you with a "barn wood" look. I did this to a $2 bench I got at the Restore and I love how it turned out. You can check it out here:
