{a place for everything...with somewhat simple}

Welcome Stephanie, from Somewhat Simple!

.....

I love being organized! I could spend all day organizing something in my house! Some might classify my need to be organized a sickness, but I can't help how good it feels when I finish organizing something!

I am not claiming to have an immaculate house where everything has a place- I am the first to admit I have piles of "things" and corners of items without a home. But I thought I would post these pictures of some of the things in my house that happen to be very organized- thanks to some handy vinyl labels and the makers of the IKEA plastic bins. Maybe it will inspire you to tackle that closet you haven't been able to walk in since you moved into your house!

Here is my pantry. I LOVE MY PANTRY!

I have 3 shelves of bins that you can pull out to see everything inside! Best part about this pantry is whenever Ethan and Leah want a snack, I say, "Go to the snack bin" and they are allowed to pick anything inside there, which takes the whining out of why they can't have cookies and candy instead.

Here is my preschool station!

Doing preschool from home means you have to keep everything organized so that your home can still be for your family and not become overrun by your business.

This is in Ethan's room.

Clean up is a breeze when everything has a place!

This is Leah's closet:

and Leah's shelf of toys.

I know some of you might think I am crazy, but tell me a better way to be this organized and I will entertain the idea of switching systems. For now, I like my bins and labels!

.....

Thank you so much, Stephanie! I love the matching bins and labels too---{love} the uniform look of them. Make sure you stop by Somewhat Simple and check out all her other fabulous ideas!

There are a lot of options out there for organization, and I love sharing all these wonderful ideas. It's really about finding what works for you, and hopefully you'll see something that you love too!

Happy Organizing!

It makes it a lot easier for children to put their things away if they all have a place to go and they don't have to wonder, "Where am I supposed to put this?" Thanks for sharing.

Can you come over?? LOL I get into moods where I have to clean out everything in the room that isn't necessary.. and make it perfect. It get's out of hand at times.. and then I get back into the room and clean it again.

I only wished that I was as organized as you! Would you like to come to my house....I would feed you really well! At this moment I am moving classrooms after 10 years and I cannot believe all the stuff I have! At home I am trying to organize my craft room, in fact I might even post about it. The trouble I have is more stuff than I have room for! What to do, as soon as I get rid of something, I need it! Thanks for sharing your photos, they inspire me.

I need to know how you made the labels (white) for your baking bins? I have these exact containers in my classroom for leveled books, but I love your labels!

Great ideas :)
We homeschool and our children have lots of labelled boxes to help them learn where everything belongs and how to keep their 'zones' cleaned.
Great post :)
