{halloween book countdown}

It's October 1st, which means it's time for one of our family's favorite Halloween traditions. I shared this for the first time last year, but since we love it so much, I thought it was worth sharing again.

Click HERE for the original post--including my list of favorite Halloween books.  Make sure to read through the comments, because readers left some great additional  book suggestions.

What's your favorite Halloween book?

For those of you watching General Conference this weekend, THESE treat buckets are a huge hit at our house.  It's become a tradition, and definitely helps with listening ears!

What a wonderful idea! My favorite book for this time of year is "The Widow's Broom" by Chris van Allsburg.

I've seen that as a Christmas Countdown but never as a Halloween countdown. I LOVE THE IDEA. So very cute.

I tried your conference idea last year on a whim (and just grabbed three little snacks and dumped them in bowls). the plan was to make it cute after conference when I had more time.

Then I completely forgot about the whole thing until yesterday morning when my son told me we HAD to do it again. Again, the chocolate chips, marshmallows and goldfish went in ikea bowls - but I'm going to really finish the project this time.

It's a great idea. My kids at least listen enough to hear "temple, Holy Ghost, and Jesus Christ" every. single. time!
