We love football at our house, and so of course that includes the Super Bowl. I'm looking forward to the game, but since our team isn't playing, I'm just not quite as excited as I was last year. (Go, Steelers!) At least there will be good food, right? That always makes me feel better. :)
When I think of Super Bowl food, I think of hearty soups & chilis, yummy appetizers & easy-to-eat snacks, anything bite-sized, and delicious, munch-able treats. This is a collection of recipes that have caught my eye, and started my mouth watering. Okay...so they are definitely not diet-friendly, but when you add in veggie platters with low-fat dip, baked pita chips with hummus, or even baked chips with corn salsa, you can fill most of your plate with them, and balance out the calories. Enjoy!

I love Super Bowl for all the yummy, totally not diet-approved food! I think I'll definitely be making jalapeno popper dip for this year.
Wow--all of that looks so yummy. Can't wait to try some of those, even though I SHOULDN'T.
That dip looks so good, and I love the idea of the little individual seven layer dip cups. We won't talk about those oreo stuffed chocolate chip cookies ; )
As always, THANKS!!!!
Uh, got anything healthy? DH & I are on medically prescribed low sodium, no sugar diets. This is all high sodium, high fat, high sugar stuff that leads to heart attacks. I don't want another one. Why doesn't anybody have healthy snacks that taste great? I'm tired of celery and carrot sticks and I hate broccoli. Seriously, this just makes me want to sit down and cry.
Barbara--
I understand! I added some links to the end of the post with healthier options--hopefully that will give you some ideas!
OMG...these all look sooooooo yummy...Gonna have to have a Super Bowl Party...:)
