Apparently I should not type recipes when I'm surrounded by children, lol. I totally left out the leavening from the recipe, and when to add the sugar...details, details. :) My deep apologies to those of you who already made it---hopefully you'll try it again!
I added them to the recipe, so you should be good to go now!

Yup, I made it this morning. Realized as I was pouring it into the bundt pan that the sugar was missing (good thing I always "taste test" the batter!) Missed out on the leavening agent though...that must be why it was so heavy. While my family insisted it was good, I secretly decided I wasn't going to make it again. I just figured your mom had the magic touch and I, well...didn't. Thanks for the update. I'll definitely give it another try!
Made it yesterday afternoon according to the first recipe ... it came out of the oven and went right to the trash! It was quite a sight. Ha!
I will try it again next weekend... :)

Hi! I found your AMAZING blog a few weeks ago and I just have one question for you. How do you do it? I am overcome with admiration for you! You are a mom of five kids; two sets of twins in the mix no less :), you run marathons and 1/2 marathons, keep a spotlessly clean and organized house, teach piano lessons, craft your little heart out, look like you have a darling family, and you have time to blog about it!!! How do you do it?! :) Every time I read your blog I feel uplifted and inspired! It makes me feel happier and eager to try things here in my own home. I am so glad to know other moms can't create sentences when kids are chattering! This happens to me ALL the time!
